BLEED Echo
BLEED Echo brings together a range of artists, thinkers and activists to interrogate the curatorial framework and commissioned works of BLEED 2022.
Through a series of writing commissions, artist talks, and our first international collaborative symposium, BLEED Echo unpacks the politics of borders, the nature of networked oceans, First Nations digital sovereignty, glitches in the matrix and posit:
How we can facilitate meaningful ways of sharing and intimacy – online and offline – while critiquing the ubiquitous structures of digital platforms?
A series of conversations held with the BLEED lead artists on the process and ideas behind their works.
Essays, poems and creative discussions on the broad themes in the 2022 iteration of BLEED.
The BLEED Symposium is a collection of talks, panels, a keynote and an online party that coalesce the ideas and key curatorial enquiries of the 2022 program. How is digital sovereignty enacted for First Nations people online? What are the boundaries between artistic and institutional practice? What are we hoping for in the next era of digital flux? How do we gather, find joy and comfort in the online worlds and communities we find ourselves in.
