Chun Yin Rainbow Chan
Chun Yin Rainbow Chan 陳雋然 is a Sydney-based artist working across music, performance, painting and installation. Her practice explores diasporic experiences and deeply personal tales of love and loss. Chan has performed at the Sydney Opera House, Vivid, MONA FOMA, Gallery of Modern Art, Melbourne Music Week, Iceland Airwaves, National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, and Tai Kwun (Hong Kong).
Her works have been exhibited with Firstdraft Gallery, Liquid Architecture, 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art, Gallery Lane Cove, Granville Centre Art Gallery, and I-Project Space (Beijing), and Artspace’s 52 ARTISTS, 52 ACTIONS. “Songs from a Walled Village”, her documentary for Radio National, was a finalist in the ABU Awards 2021.
She teaches in Contemporary Music at Sydney Conservatorium and is on the 4A Board. Chan is a finalist in 2021/22 NSW Visual Arts Emerging Fellowship (Artspace, Create NSW). Her latest record “Stanley” is released on Eastern Margins (UK).
